Director of Housing

The Loveland Housing Authority is seeking an innovative, dynamic leader for the position of Director of Housing. The successful candidate must be mission focused and be able to foster a strong commitment to customer service. This key position is responsible for asset management and compliance; staff leadership and supervision, and development of resident service programs for all of the Loveland Housing Authority owned and managed communities. Major responsibilities include oversight and development of Housing and Maintenance divisions’ strategy and procedures, including annual budget development and fiscal review, forecasting on-going physical property and resident needs, compliance with multiple agencies and government regulations, compliance with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504. Responsible for the hiring/ongoing supervision of housing and maintenance staff, grievance procedures with both staff and clients and oversight of department’s Key Performance Indicators. This position also provides critical role interfacing with the Development Team in bringing new communities to fruition, including preparation of grant and funding applications to support the creation of new housing developments and support services.

The Loveland Housing Authority has developed and manages over 1,400 units of affordable housing in four Northern Colorado communities. We have a high standard of maintaining quality affordable housing for moderate and low-income families, seniors, and veterans, as well as providing quality services to support our residents. The ideal candidate for the Director of Housing position will be a leader with vision and integrity who can direct resources and implement programs to achieve the Housing Authority’s goals, have a positive management style, excellent communications skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with public officials, Housing Authority Commissioners and staff, residents, and the public.

Minimum requirements: a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related fields, as well as 5 years of supervisory experience.
